The word “eye” has been a part of our language for more than a thousand years and the eyes have been the windows to our souls. It is not surprising that when scientists started talking about bio-tech, they were quick to associate it with the eye—even though it is not an organ. The idea of embedding high-tech functionality into contact lenses or glasses was first introduced by Kevin Ashton in 2003, who coined the term "Internet of Things (IOT)." Ashton believed that humans will be able to share data and read information through their vision anytime and anywhere. These days we are seeing different types of eyewear being used in places across the globe. The world is changing to an era where the wearing of glasses has become an unnecessary burden The driving force behind this change is eye wear. The idea of wearing glasses has moved from a life-long necessity to a temporary, occasional luxury. The age-old problem of eye sight problems, brought about by the use of com
